Vernonia lettermanii ‘Summer’s Swan Song’
Dark purple florets and deep olive green finely-textured foliage. Hybrid ironweed similar to Vernonia ‘Iron Butterfly’, but larger with interlocking stems. Excellent resistance to rust and powdery mildew. Tolerates rocky, poor soils and drought. Attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and many other pollinators.
